# Intelligence

> Give the player a confirmed fact at the right moment.

## What it controls

Intelligence is a fact that has been confirmed and can be known by a character. A clue is evidence; intelligence is the explanation or confirmation that follows.

The example is **The Sender Has Not Left the Harbor**. It appears only after the salt mark and the recent delivery record are confirmed.

## Build the chain

Create the clue first, then define the confirmed fact, its timing, and the characters who know it. In a test session, confirm that the fact is absent before the reveal and can be reviewed afterward.
